BMW M5 30 Jahre M5 Auctioned For $700,000

The last BMW 30 Jahre M5 (US Spec) has been auctioned for $700,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auctions in Scottsdale. Bmw managed to produce 300 examples with only 30 of these made it to the North American Market.
The car is finished in Dark Frozen Silver with black chrome wheels. 
The 30 Jahre M5 features a 4.4 - liter engine with an extra 25 hp from the stock one delivering 600 hp & 700 Nm. The result of such a power is that it rockets to 100 kmh (62 mph) in 3.9 seconds with top speed of 305 kmh (190 mph) when it's equipped with the M Driver's package.
The winning bidder was the NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrik who also has a BMW dealership in Charleston, South Carolina.
