A Porsche 918 Spyder Crashes in Shanghai, China

The first accident involving Porsche’s new 918 Spyder hypercar was on the Autobahn, while the second car destroyed after catching fire at a gas station in Toronto. Now, there is another victim on the list. On the Instagram images shown below, we’re seeing the Porsche smashed against the tree and the wall with the wheel and front quarter panel almost entirely ripped off.
As a reminder the Porsche 918 Spyder is a mid-engined plug-in hybrid supercar. It is powered by a 4.6 liter V8 engine, developing 608hp (453kW), with two electric motors delivering additional 279hp (208kW) for a combined output of 887hp (661kW)
