Has conventional front-hinged rear doors
Development work continues on the 2015 MINI Clubman as our spies have caught the model undergoing testing in Europe.
Dressed in swirly camouflage, the redesigned model is significantly larger than its predecessor and adopts conventional front-hinged rear doors which should improve access to the rear seat. The wagon also has a spilt tailgate with side-opening doors.
Engine options will likely be shared with the Cooper so choices could include:
- A 1.5-liter three-cylinder with 34 bhp (100 kW) and 170 lb-ft (230 Nm) of torque
- A 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel with 114 bhp (85 kW) and 199 lb-ft (269 Nm) of torque
- A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 189 bhp (141 kW) and 221 lb-ft (300 Nm) of torque
- A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with roughly 217 bhp (162 kW)
