Both car and longtime owner are still going strong.
Something like this doesn’t happen often. While it’s true that a car with proper maintenance and upkeep can travel well over 100,000 miles without being sent to the junkyard, it’s rare to see something pop up that’s gone a half a million miles. Today is that day. This C2 Corvette Stingray has traveled more than 500,000 miles, according to its mechanic. It’s had just one owner since 1965, and it’s been his daily driver ever since.
He’s currently in his late 60s and still manages to shift its four-speed manual even after knee replacement surgery. The mechanic claims he’s worked on the car for the past decade and it’s still in incredible condition despite its age and many, many miles. If anyone out there has any additional information, please feel free to send it our way. This car, its owner, and its story is just way too cool.
