Chris Harris Says Porsche 918 Spyder is a Landmark Vehicle.

After taking Porsche's hybrid hypercar around the track, Chris Harris knows he has driven something very, very special.
When Chris Harris first drove the Porsche 918 Spyder, the hypercar was still being finalized. So this is the first time the Drive presenter has gotten behind the wheel of the finished article, and to say that he's impressed is a colossal understatement. Porsche claims it wasn't waiting for the Ferrari LaFerrari or McLaren P1 before announcing its final figures, but the fact Porsche revised its performance figures after unveiling the car suggests otherwise.
Of the three hybrid hypercars, the 918 Spyder is the cheapest with a base price of $845,000. But don't take that to mean that it's in anyway inferior. With a 4.6-liter V8 paired to two electric motors, output is 887 hp and 940 lb-ft of torque. It's also the fastest car to ever lap the Ring. But what's it like to hoon?
