Volkswagen Scirocco R dropped, facelifted Scirocco to debut in Geneva.

New Scirocco R should have 300 HP

According to a recent report, Volkswagen has ended production of the Scirocco R.
Despite sounding like bad news, the model was reportedly halted because Volkswagen has stopped building the car’s turbocharged EA113 engine.
While it's sad to see the car go, a facelifted Scirocco is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Previous spy photos have shown it will have an evolutionary design with a new front fascia that could have a revised grille and updated headlights.

Engine options will likely mirror the Golf and the Scirocco R is slated to return to the lineup with a new EA888 mill that produces 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque.
