BMW highlights the performance of the i8.

Accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds

BMW has released a new promotional video that highlights the i8.
Designed to be one of the most eco-friendly sports car ever created, the i8 is "all about performance" and fuel efficiency. As a result, the car has been equipped with a 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo three-cylinder engine that develops 231 HP (170 kW) and 320 Nm (236 lb-ft) of torque.  The i8 also has a front axle electric motor that produces 131 HP (96 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque.  When the powertrains work together, the i8 has a combined maximum output of 362 HP (266 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
In terms of performance, the i8 can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). More importantly, the i8 averages 2.5 L/100 km (94 mpg US / 113 mpg UK) and can travel on electricity alone for up to 35 km (22 miles) at speeds up to 120 km/h (75 mph).
