MPV is popular in Germany and China

Mercedes has announced they have sold over one million B-Classes since the model was launched in 2005.

While the model doesn't appeal to enthusiasts, the MPV is relatively popular in Germany and China. As Mercedes explains, the B-Class is particularly appealing to fleet customers, "active seniors" and families with children.

The petrol and diesel variants of the B180 are the most popular and represent nearly 30 percent of all B-Class models sold. Furthermore, nearly half of all new B-Classes are equipped with either a navigation or infotainment system.

According to Mercedes Sales and Marketing boss, Ola Källenius, “The B-Class is the perfect combination of sporty design, impressive driving dynamics and incomparable driving comfort. That’s what makes it so popular with our customers."
