McLaren P13 coming in late 2015, will be heavily influenced by the 650S

Could produce about 450 bhp (335 kW)

McLaren's highly-anticipated entry-level model is inching closer to production as the company's engineering director has revealed they are close to signing off on the car's styling.
Mark Vinnels declined to go into specifics but told Top Gear they are considering two different designs. Regardless of which design is selected, the P13 will follow in the footsteps of the 650S as it will have a similar front fascia, suspension and carbon fiber monocoque. However, the model is expected to use aluminum body panels instead of carbon fiber ones.
While some reports have indicated the car could have a much as 500 bhp (373 kW), Top Gearsays the 3.8-liter V8 engine will develop about 450 bhp (335 kW).
If everything pans out the McLaren P13 will go into production in late 2015 and be available as a coupe and spyder. Pricing is expected to start at roughly £125,000 which would make it significantly cheaper than the £195,250 650S coupe.
