With functional tailgate
A 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300TD featuring an El Camino conversion is now up for grabs on eBay.
It started out as a '79 300TD (non-turbo) but into the 80s it underwent an El Camino/Ranchero conversion with a functional tailgate. It benefits from a hydraulic rear suspension and despite the 149,800 mileage it's in a good condition although the wood on the tailgate needs some work. In addition, a few rust spots are also visible but it's understandable given the car's age.
On the inside it has received Recaro seats wrapped around in blue velour to match the cabin's theme and the owner specifies everything inside works properly, including the original radio while the battery has just been replaced.
At the moment of writing, there are 40 bids for the car and the highest one stands at 8,300 USD, with five days to go until the listing ends.
