With the V12 Vantage S, Aston Martin almost created the perfect car. We say almost, because although it played a masterstroke by shoehorning its 6.0-liter V12 into its smallest body, the British carmaker opted not to send the 565 horsepower to the rear wheels via a manual box. It did, however, create one of best-sounding engine notes ever by borrowing the One-77’s exhaust. As XCar’s Alex Goy points out, the naturally-aspirated goodness of that glorious V12 gets right under your skin. And that’s just from hearing it on video.
In person, the sound is spectacular. Check out the video for a taste of this brute and to see arguably Aston’s finest creation to date.
