A rare Ferrari F40 sustained serious damages after colliding with a Dodge Dart which according to local reports ran a red light.
Ferrari only made 1,315 units of the F40 during 1987 and 1992 so hopefully this red example will be back in shape after spending some serious time in the repair shop. The accident occurred in Ontario, Canada when the F40 had a brutal encounter with a Dodge Dart that according to witnesses ran a red light.
Behind the wheel of the F40 was a Ferrari mechanic returning from a test drive that obviously didn't end very well. At the moment the owner's identity is not known but there are around ten F40s in Ontario right now.
None of the drivers were hurt but the cars are in need of some significant repairs and you can imagine how big the F40's bill will be given the vehicle's age and exclusivity.
