Mercedes-Benz G-Class rendered as a more civilized crossover

The 'City-G'

Christian Schulte envisioned a more modern variant of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class tailored mostly for city use.
When creating these renders, our colleagues from Mercedes-Fans took into consideration the rumors about a City-G model allegedly in the works at Mercedes-Benz's headquarters. The size of the model depicted is not specified but it's probably somewhere between the GLA and GLK.
Gone is the boxy shape of the G-Class as the artist went for a more civilized approach with rounder shapes creating a less rugged design that could be more appealing in the eyes of crossover buyers who would likely use it only around the city.
Mercedes-Benz sees the future of the G-Class a lot different since the Ener-G-Forcedeveloped for the 2012 L.A. Auto Show Design Challenge was an eco-friendly SUV with great off-road capabilities.
