Mercedes C-Class Convertible spied, could be unveiled next year

Promises to be more affordable than the E-Class Cabrio

The Mercedes C-Class Convertible has been spied undergoing testing.
Set to battle the Audi A5 Cabrio, the entry-level convertible is heavily disguised but will likely share styling cues with the C-Class sedan. We can't make out a lot of details but the model has a two bar grille and new mirrors that are mounted to the doors. The car also has a unique rear end and what is believed to be a soft top roof.
Little else is known about the convertible but engine options will likely be shared with the standard model. This means we can expect an assortment of engines including a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 241 bhp (179 kW) and a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that develops 329 bhp (245 kW).
The C-Class Convertible could be introduced sometime next year so expect to learn more in the coming months.
