Audi employee hints at a new RS3

Could produce approximately 375 bhp (280 kW)

Audi's head of convertible development has revealed some new details about the 2015 RS3.
Speaking at the launch of the S3 Cabrio, Mario Weiland told Car Advice “The [previous generation] RS3 was a big success, we sold a lot more than we ever thought we would." While Weiland stopped short of confirming a new version was in the works, he said "I think the decision has been made. The last one was so successful I think we had to do it." Weiland then hinted “Maybe we won’t leave it till the end of the model cycle like last time."
Our spies have already snapped photos of an RS3 prototype and it featured an aerodynamic body kit, high-performance brakes and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. We can also expect a sport-tuned suspension and a variety of other tweaks.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but the model is expected to have a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder that develops approximately 375 bhp (280 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque. There have also been rumors about an RS3 Plus variant but nothing is official as of yet.
