Peugeot confirms Dakar return via teaser video, full announcement due later today

Peugeot Sport has released a teaser video announcing next year's comeback at Dakar.

Ten days ago we heard a rumor about Peugeot's plans to make a Dakar return and this will actually happen next year. Full details will be released later today but from this teaser clip we find out Red Bull is going to sponsor Peugeot Sport's rally car, as suggested by last week's report which also indicated it will be a 2WD vehicle, possibly based on the 208.

Information about the driver lineup is not available at this point but Carlos Sainz and Stéphane Peterhansel are very possible candidates. Sainz just signed a three-year contract with Peugeot Sport while Peterhansel has managed to win the competition eleven times so far.
