Walkinshaw Performance considering Chevrolet Special Vehicles

The next evolution of Holden Special Vehicles

Holden's decision to end production in Australia could spur Walkinshaw Performance to create an offshoot of Holden Special Vehicles.
According to Motoring, Walkinshaw could refocus their efforts on Chevrolet and models such as the next-generation Camaro and SS. This could eventually spawn Chevrolet Special Vehicles (CSV) and U.S. availability.
According to Ryan Walkinshaw, “We think something like that [CSV] could work. It depends on what products are available." However, Walkinshaw said "It’s going to depend on the discussions with GM going forward. There’s a lot of factors we have to take into account."
If a deal can be struck, Walkinshaw would prefer to keep their operations in Australia. However, the production realities might force them to produce the cars in the United States and ship them back to Australia.
