1995 Land Rover Defender 90 gets 6.2-liter LS3 engine from Icon [video]

Hand-built in California

Icon has elaborated a comprehensive restomod program for a 1995 Land Rover Defender 90.
The vehicle doesn't come with the usual diesel engine as it was swapped with an LS3 V8 6.2-liter from General Motors further modified by Icon with powdered-metal connecting rods, custom exhaust, a different intake and bespoke cooling. The engine also received investment-cast rocker arms, aluminum pistons and now works coupled to a 4-speed automatic gearbox with a CNC-machined Atlas II transfer case.
It sits on 17-inch wheels with BF Goodrich A/T 285/70/R17 tires and has been fitted with a custom braking kit with six-piston front calipers with 355x32mm rotors along with four-piston rear calipers matched to 328x28mm rotors. Other changes include full LED lights, Hellcat steering wheel, hand-crafted dash panels and removable rubber plugs for drainage.
Like all Icon's customized vehicle, this one was hand built in California and is available in a limited quantity.
