Jaguar crossover spied wearing modified Range Rover Evoque body

Could receive Q-Type name

A test mule of Jaguar's first ever crossover has been spied recently around the Nürburgring wearing a modified Range Rover Evoque body.
Previewed by the C-X17 concept, Jaguar's first attempt into the crossover segment will occur either in 2015 or 2016 and will ride on the same newly developed iQ[Al] platform as the upcoming XE entry-level sedan. Little else is known about the model but in terms of design it will probably stay true to the concept introduced at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show andupdated a couple of months later at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China.
Engine lineup will most likely be borrowed from the aforementioned XE which will be powered by an array of new Ingenium four-cylinder gasoline and diesels and there should also be an F-Type-sourced V6 3.0-liter topping off the range.
