Bertone shutting down

Due to many unpaid bills

Italian design house Bertone has reportedly gone bust as a result of major financial problems.
Towards the end of last year we heard something about Bertone going into bankruptcy once more and although there were several companies interested in purchasing the troubled Grugliasco-based design house, it appears nothing materialized and creators of the stunning Lamborghini Miura have nothing else to do but to close up shop.
Although they made about 20M EUR last year mainly thanks to its Chinese clientele, Bertone is having a lot of financial issues and it is believed the remaining employees have not been paid for six months. 160 workers were recently laid off while suppliers have sued Bertone to reclaim costs.
Besides shaping up the Miura, Bertone was also in charge of drawing the Lancia Stratos, Lamborghini Countach and Alfa Romeo Giulia GT.
