Limited to 100 units, 10 arriving in UK
Citroën UK has announced the limited-run DS3 Cabrio Racing is now available on order from 29,305 GBP.
Basically a production version of the DS3 Cabrio Racing concept and a follow-up to the DS3 Racing coupe, the model will be limited to just 100 units and only 10 of them are reaching UK market in a right-hand drive configuration. The vehicle was tweaked by Citroën Racing and is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter THP turbocharged gasoline engine outputting 207 bhp (154 kW).
It weighs 25 kg (55 lbs) more than the coupe and will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.5 seconds before topping out at 145 mph (233 km/h). These figures are attainable thanks to an ECU remap and a modified sports exhaust system which comes together with a sports silencer. The turbocharging system has also been revised with carbon-trimmed parts while the suspension has gained different front and rear shock absorbers.
Compared to the regular variant, the Racing model sits 15mm closer to the road and comes with 30mm enlarged front and rear tracks. Citroën Racing has updated the steering and braking systems, installed 18-inch alloys and a black fabric roof. The model is based on the DSport specification so comes equipped with an eight-speaker sound system, LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, Bluetooth & USB support, as well as automatic digital air conditioning and Alcantara-wrapped seats with red stitching.
