MINI Clubman spied at the Nurburgring

To feature a split rear door

The upcoming MINI Clubman was grabbed on camera by our spies while testing in Germany on the Nürburgring.
As you may recall, MINI showed a near-production Clubman concept last month in Geneva giving us an almost complete image of what to expect from the car which should reach dealerships before the end of the year. The vehicle will be considerably bigger than its predecessor and will be equipped with regular front-hinged rear doors.
It will be just as practical as the previous model since MINI has decided to retain the split rear door and probably there will be more cargo capacity to offer since the concept was 26 cm longer and 17 cm wider than the first Clubman.
The engine lineup holds no secrets as it will be carried over from the regular model so there will be a couple of 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline and diesel motors together with a larger and more powerful four-cylinder 2.0-liter.
Expect a full reveal to occur at this year's Paris Motor Show in October.
