Could it be the next-generation model
A mysterious Bugatti Veyron has been spied on the Nürburgring.
Little is known about the model but its engine cover has been removed and replaced by an odd metal structure. This seems to suggest the car is a prototype but nothing is official as of yet.
While Bugatti still has about 40 Veyrons left to sell, the company has already been dropping hints about the next-generation model. In previous interviews, Bugatti President Dr. Wolfgang Schreiber has said they are working on a "second-generation Veyron with more power" and it will "redefine the benchmarks" set by the current model. That's pretty vague but Bugatti chief vehicle engineer Jens Schulenburg has hinted "The big challenge on the next car will be reducing weight - we are looking at some incredible technologies, such as wheels made entirely from carbon fiber. Hybrids are definitely something we're looking at, too."
