We’ve all dreamt about it. But there’s still a greater chance of being struck by lightning while sitting on top of an elephant eating a grilled cheese sandwich than winning the lottery. According to those who are far better at math than we are, you have about a 1 in 175,223,510 chance of hitting the Powerball lottery in the US. In Europe, you’ve got roughly a 1 in 116,531,800 chance of striking the EuroMillions Jackpot. Fortunately dreaming is still free of charge.
But say if you did happen to win. As a gearhead, what cars would you buy? After all, someone has to win the big prize at some point. That someone was Neil Trotter, who hails from Coulsdon, south London. The now former car mechanic and amateur racer can buy any car (or anything else for that matter) he wants because his bank balance now reads £107.9 million. He’s always wanted a hypercar and is considering a McLaren, quite the upgrade over his current FordFocus. But what if you were in Mr. Trotter’s position of complete financial freedom? Which cars would you buy? And we say "cars" because there’s no chance in hell you’d settle for just one.
Some of our picks would include anything from both Pagani and Koenigsegg, along with aLamborghini Miura and Countach. For off-roading, a Mercedes G63 AMG 6x6. And maybe even a Toyota Prius. Then a tank. Something needs to crush that Prius. And this is just the start of a completely insane (yet still affordable) spending spree. What would be in your dream garage?
