At the Gumball 3000 supercar rally, it’s hard to stand out. The event exists for the sole purpose of showing off extravagant sports and supercars, but that won’t stop Team Masters of Speed from attracting the attention of the public, as they will be travelling in a Brabus B63S 700 AMG 6×6!
This year’s Gumball 3000 rally is particularly legendary, starting in sunny Miami, Florida on the 4th of June. The cars will travel up through Atlanta to New York where they will all be loaded up onto a plane and transferred to Edinburgh. The route will then head south through London to Barcelona, and on to the infamous party island of Ibiza.
To win the rally, teams must balance their speed with their fuel economy while navigating the fastest route to their destination. This will prove particularly hard, yet very interesting for Team Masters of Speed, as they will no doubt be getting some of the worst gas mileage and will be one of the slowest cars on the grid. They will probably get the most looks from passersby, however.
The Brabus B63S 700 AMG 6×6 is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 Biturbo engine specially tuned by Brabus to 700 horsepower. It sends its power to all six wheels, helping to launch the four ton goliath from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 7.4 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 160 km/h.
