McLaren preparing track-only P1 to rival LaFerrari XX

Will be sold only to P1 owners

McLaren has allegedly started work on a track-only version of the P1 which will be sold exclusively to those who purchased the road-going supercar.
All 375 units of the P1 have already been sold and it seems some of the owners asked McLaren if they could create a more focused track-only version. The company's response was affirmative as such a model is already in the works and will reportedly be produced in "low double digits." Only those who actually purchased the road-legal P1 will have the possibility of getting the track version as well.
Just like Ferrari will be doing with the LaFerrari XX, McLaren will most likely keep the cars and organize track days and events where owners will have the possibility of driving their very expensive and exclusive vehicles.
Technical details are not available at this point but most likely the McLaren P1 Track (name not final) will have a lowered and upgraded suspension, a more radical body as well as more output generated by the hybrid system which in the road-legal car puts out an already impressive 916 PS (674 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb-ft).
