The Mercedes E63 AMG isn't lacking in terms of power but that hasn't stopped Brabus from unveiling their latest 850 6.0 Biturbo.
Under the hood as the twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine has been bored out to displace 5.9-liters (5,912 cc). The company then installs a billet crankshaft, forged billet pistons, billet piston rods and optimized cylinder heads. The tuning firm also adds a new intake manifold, upgraded turbochargers, a high-performance exhaust system and an optimized ECU.
Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 850 PS (625 kW) and an electronically limited 1,150 Nm (848 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a modified seven-speed MCT SPEEDSHIFT transmission which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds or 3.1 seconds when equipped with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Depending on the tires, final drive ratio and the programming of the Vmax unit, the top speed ranges from 300 km/h (186 mph) to more than 350 km/h (217 mph).
