Tops out at 80 mph
YouTube user Wilfred Lebron managed to grab on camera what is commonly known as the Jet Cycle Freedom 1.
It might look like a miniature jet fighter but underneath the skin is a modified Honda Gold Wing motorcycle modified by Ron Galloops. He went for an F-106 Delta Dart look and installed a glowing afterburner but don't expect the Freedom 1 to take off. However, it will do a top speed of 80 mph (129 km/h) and can be legally driven on public roads.
In an interview given back in 2005 to St. Petersburg Times, Galloops said it's more difficult to pay attention to everyone who is watching the Freedom 1 rather than actually driving the winged motorcycle that comes with a landing gear and cockpit.
