2015 Chevrolet Cruze spied totally undisguised inside and out

Arriving later this year

The second generation of the Chevrolet Cruze has been spied without any camouflage ahead of an official unveiling programmed for later this year.
Looking significantly sharper than its predecessor, the all-new Cruze was spotted on a factory parking lot in Shanghai, China prior to its official debut slated for next month at Auto China 2014 in Beijing. Up front we notice the enlarged grille together with a strip of LED daytime running lights sitting above the fog lights. The blackened headlights look quite similar to those on the facelifted Renault Fluence while the hood features two creases.
At the back the taillights are slightly slender and have a more angular design while the third stop light has been integrated into the trunk lid. Moving inside the revamped cabin we notice lots of metallic accents, a larger touchscreen display, saddle brown leather upholstery and a glossy black finish for the central area of the dashboard.
Bear in mind this is the China-spec Cruze so there could be some differences for other markets. In China it will be sold with a 4-cylinder, 1.5-liter engine outputting 112 bhp (83 kW) and 146 Nm (108 lb-ft) along with a 1.4-liter turbo delivering 148 bhp (110 kW) and 235 Nm (173 lb-ft). Depending on engine choice, gearbox options include five- and six-speed manuals as well as a seven-speed DSG.
We will have full details about the China-spec 2015 Chevrolet Cruze on April 20 during the press day of Auto China 2014.
