2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet spied for the first time [video]

To feature a soft top

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz C-Class convertible has been spied on camera for the very first time.
We were aware of the fact there will be a C-Class convertible based on the W205 generation and now we have video proof confirming Mercedes-Benz is preparing a two-door, soft-top C-Class for the 2016 model year. The camo-wrapped early prototype was spotted near the firm's test center in Sindelfingen near Stuttgart in Germany.
Most likely the model will be offered with the AIRSCARF neck-level heating system as well as the AIRCAP air-deflection system capable of diminishing cabin wind turbulences for all passengers. Power will come from the same engines inside the sedan, including the twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter with around 480 bhp (358 kW) in the AMG model.
Chances are the C-Class convertible will be unveiled in September 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show before going on sale later that year or early 2016.
