Limited edition 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion on sale in UK

Only 20 were made

A rare Porsche 911 GT Strassenversion is up for sale in United Kingdom at an undisclosed price tag.
For homologation purposes, Porsche had to develop a street version of the 911 GT1 and build it in 25 units but in the end they made only 20 cars. This is the tenth unit and was manufactured in 1998 before being exported to France where as you can see it was properly maintained. It was driven for just 5,500 km (3,417 miles) and is now up for grabs in United Kingdom for probably an exorbitant price taking into account another one was on sale about two years ago for a cool 2.3M USD.
Power comes from the original flat-six twin-turbo 3.2-liter engine outputting 537 bhp (400 kW) sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual H-pattern gearbox. Stopping power is provided by ventilated carbon discs with four-piston calipers while the overall dry weight stands at just 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs).
Back in the day it was capable of completing the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) run in 3.7 seconds before topping out at 194 mph (312 km/h), figures which are far from being shabby today.
