Bertone bankruptcy now official, could shut down next month

Looking for a buyer

After a rumor which emerged earlier this month, a Bertone representative has officially confirmed the famous Italian automotive design house has entered court bankruptcy proceedings.
This is one of those rumors that we wished was just vapor but Bertone has filed for bankruptcy due to "many debts and very high costs", according to a company spokesperson interview by The Telegraph. The Turin-based firm is in a very bad shape at this moment since "everything is blocked" and "people haven't been coming to work for a month and a half now."
Hopefully by the end of next month someone will purchase Bertone because if not, the creator of Miura's styling will shut down for good, two years after celebrating its centenary at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show with the retro-flavored Nuccio concept.
