Spy photos show BMW already working on 3-Series facelift

Minor visual tweaks

Our spies have managed to grab on camera a prototype of the BMW 3-Series facelift conducting preliminary testing.
The current generation of the BMW 3-Series (F30) effectively went on sale on February 11, 2012 but the Bavarian marque is already working on a LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) to keep the model fresh and competitive against the all-new Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The facelifted Bavarian sedan will feature a redesigned front bumper with different air intakes along with optional full LED headlights.
More significant changes will occur under the hood where the revised 3-Series will be offered with a variety of three-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines also found in the new MINI. Expect to find new or updated assistance systems along with other tech and comfort goodies, including the 5-Series-sourced traffic jam assistant.
The BMW 3-Series LCI will probably be unveiled towards the end of the year or early 2015.
