UK police receives McLaren 12C Spider patrol car

Costs 240,000 GBP

A McLaren 12C Spider serving as a police patrol car has been unveiled this weekend at 2014 Autosport International in Birmingham, UK.
Towards the end of last year the famous Dubai police added another expensive model to its growing fleet, a McLaren 12C, and now the police in UK have received a similar gift but this time it's the Spider version. The 240,000 GBP supercar will be used by the Central Motorway Group officers in the Midlands and has been offered by a local McLaren dealer.
Although not very practical for police service, the McLaren 12C Spider will be a worthy piece of equipment during high-speed chases as it can run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds thanks to a twin-turbo V8 3.8-liter engine developing 625 HP (460 kW) which grants the vehicle with a top speed of 204 mph (329 km/h).
