Shelby celebrates the 50th anniversary of the FIA Cobra with a retro special edition

Debuts at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona

Shelby American is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the FIA Cobra by introducing a new limited edition Cobra CSX7000.
Set to debut at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, the CSX7000 has a Viking Blue exterior with Arctic White stripes and special badging. The model also has a side exiting exhaust and 15-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin is sparsely equipped but features black vinyl seats, special floor mats and billet anniversary badges.
According to Shelby American President John Luft, “The 289 FIA Shelby Cobras were among the most important cars in American racing history" and they were "piloted by racing legends including Ken Miles, Dan Gurney, Phil Hill and Bob Bondurant."
Production will be limited to 50 units and pricing starts at $94,995 for a fiberglass body and $159,995 for an aluminum body. Despite the monumental price tag, the cars will be delivered as a rolling chassis without an engine.
