Looking at this wreck we were convinced the occupants must have met their maker. Amazingly, the 49-year-old driver of this trashed Gumpert Apollo walked away from the crash with just whiplash and minor injuries. German publication Hassfurter-Tagblatt reported the accident occurred when the Gumpert lost traction and slid off the road after attempting an overtake on road St 2427 between Knetzgau and Hassfurt in Bavaria. With Gumpert now in liquidation, it's unlikely the car will ever be repaired.
