Mercedes AMG GT spied with a four tailpipe exhaust system, could be the S variant

Could have a more powerful twin-turbo V8 engine

Development work continues on the Mercedes AMG GT as our spies have caught a new prototype with a different exhaust system.
Looking virtually identical to the prototype we saw last week, the new model has a four-tailpipe exhaust system that suggests it could be a high-performance variant. While we can't see any other changes, previous prototypes have used a dual exhaust system.
Mercedes has remained coy on engine specifications but previous reports have indicated the model could be offered with a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 that has outputs of approximately 485 HP (357 kW) and 550 HP (404 kW). There have also been rumors about a Black Series variant but the lack of additional changes suggests this is more of a mainstream model.
As we have previously reported, the car is expected to be introduced later this year and executives have already hailed it as "pure sport" and the "the most beautiful car we've ever designed."
