2016 Audi A5 to have an evolutionary design, weigh 200 lbs less

Could be introduced later this year

We're already heard plenty about the 2015 Audi A4 but new details are starting to emerge about its sexier counterpart - the 2016 A5.
According to Car & Driver, the redesigned model will have an evolutionary exterior with sportier styling cues. The car could also be equipped with LED headlights and a "futuristic" interior with a head-up display.
The model is expected to ride on the MLB Evo platform and use more aluminum than its predecessor. This change could enable the car to be 200 lbs (90.7 kg) lighter than the outgoing model.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but will likely upgraded versions of the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and supercharged 3.0-liter V6. The range-topping RS5, on the other hand, is expected to eschew its naturally-aspirated 4.2-liter V8 for a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8.
The A5 will reportedly be unveiled later this year and go on sale in early 2015.
