Victory Donuts Now Legal in Formula 1

Regulations amended to allow winners “to perform an act of celebration.”
Last season, Sebastian Vettel laid down some impromptu donuts at the finish line of the Indian Gran Prix having taken his fourth F1 drivers title in a row. Everyone loved it, apart from FIA officials who slapped the German with a 25,000 Euro fine. This season, however, Vettel is free to burn as much rubber as he likes at the end of a race – as long as he wins it of course. In fact, the winner is free to do all manner of in-car celebrations, from picking up the flag to putting down donuts. So long as it doesn’t endanger fans or officials, or delay the podium ceremony, it’s all good.
