Reports of a Maserati MC12 successor based on sister company’s LaFerrari emerged last year. No updates to that mouthwatering story have surfaced since, but this stunning concept penned by transport design graduate Mark Hostler has us yearning for more. Maserati’s flagship supercar would borrow a Ferrari chassis, suspension and electrics, but come dressed in a bespoke carbon-fiber body and almost certainly ditch the hybrid powertrain. The 6.3-liter V12 would remain, albeit detuned from 789 hp to secure its supercar stablemate’s superiority.
