Does the Audi RS Q3 Deserve to be an "RS"?

And is Audi perhaps going too far by building a crossover RS?
We’re now in the day and age where even crossovers are being built for high-performance seekers. That’s a perfect example of just how much automakers depend on CUVs to generate big profits. SUVs and their high-performance variants are also still money-makers, but there’s a bit of a problem with many of them: fuel efficiency. While their wealthy owners can still easily afford the gas bill, some genuinely prefer something that’s less thirsty.
And this is where models like Audi’s RS Q3 come into the picture. Powered by a 2.5-liter TFSI I5 with 306 hp, this is actually the same engine that’s in the TT RS, only it’s been somewhat de-tuned. Why is that? Audi isn’t stating its reasons, but even the guys at XCAR wonder what could have been, pondering whether this CUV deserves its "RS" badge.
