To be unveiled in Detroit
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG has been rendered with production clothing, ahead of a verypossible unveiling later this month at NAIAS in Detroit.
In November last year in L.A. we saw Mercedes-Benz's GLA 45 AMG concept which served as a preview for the production model which will carry over most of the design without any huge changes. Seen here are a couple of renders depicting a very possible look for the car that will reach showrooms later this year when the GLA 45 AMG will go on sale.
The performance crossover will use the same 4-cylinder 2.0-liter turbo engine taken from the AMG versions of the A-Class and CLA. The motor is good for 360 HP (265 kW) and 331 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque sent to the all-wheel drive 4MATIC system through a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT gearbox. It will cover the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 5 seconds before hitting an electronically-capped speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Expect a public debut in less than two weeks at the 2014 North American International Auto Show.
