Seven 620R has 311 bhp (232 kW)
Caterham and Superformance have signed an agreement which will make the latter company Caterham's new US distributor.
Details are limited but Superformance will import a variety of Seven variants which are "primarily the higher-power incarnations of the car." That's little vague but the company confirmed plans to offer the Seven 480 and Seven 620R which has a 2.0-liter Ford Duratec engine that produces 311 bhp (232 kW) and 219 lb-ft (296 Nm) of torque.
Unfortunately, the cars will be "shipped to the USA in part-built form and sold as [a] rolling chassis" so customers will have complete the build themselves or hire someone else to do so.
According to Caterham CEO Graham Macdonald, "In the last two years, Caterham has significantly broadened its reach internationally and signing a new official distributor in the form of Superformance in America is a natural extension of how our brand is expanding, rapidly, across the globe."
