Lotus Elise S Cup R shown in new official picture, to debut at 2014 Autosport.

Autosport organized between 9-12 Jan

Lotus has published another photo with the Elise S Cup R which will be showcased between 9-12 January at 2014 Autosport in Birmingham.
The latest track toy coming from Lotus is the Elise S Cup R featuring a 4-cylinder, 1.8-liter supercharged engine wrapped in a body weighing just 2,037 lbs (924 kg). Power is transferred via a six-speed manual gearbox to the 16- / 17-inch wheels shod in Yokohama Advan Neova AD07 LTS tires.
The vehicle also comes with a sport-tuned suspension, updated front splitter, high-performance brakes, a "triple-pass" radiator, rear diffuser, floor extensions, rear wing as well as retuned springs and dampers. Lotus says these upgrades have allowed the Elise S Cup R to be around four seconds quicker than the regular Elise S over a 2.2 mile (3.5 km) lap.
Inside the cabin there is a FIA-compliant roll cage, a HANS-compatible racing seat and a quick-release steering wheel. Optional goodies include ultra-lightweight motorsport wheels, FIA-compliant fuel cell, air conditioning system and a race-spec passenger seat with four-point harness.
All these can be had for 39,125 GBP and the racer can be used in this year's Lotus Cup racing series.
