Puritalia reveals their 427 Roadster prototype.

Draws inspiration from the 1965 Shelby Cobra

We haven't heard much from Puritalia since they released renderings of the 427 Roadsterback in 2012, but the company has just posted the first pictures of a near production prototype.
Dressed in a light coat of primer, the prototype will be used to test the car's mechanicals and driving characteristics. Despite being a work in progress, Puritalia contends "There are very few cars out there that look good when still in building stages. We believe that our car is one of them; like a beautiful woman who shows all its natural charm without any makeup."
As we have previously reported, the 427 Roadster was inspired by the 1965 Shelby Cobra and features a carbon composite body as well as an aluminum and chromoly chassis. Two engines will be available including a 5.0-liter V8 with 445 HP (327 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) of torque as well as a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 with 605 HP (445 kW) and 640 Nm (472 lb-ft) of torque.
