0-60 mph in 2.6s
Radical Sportscars has unveiled the RXC Turbo this week at 2014 Autosport International in Birmingham, UK.
Last year at the same auto event Radical introduced the RXC and now they have prepared an EcoBoost-powered version with a twin-turbo V6 3.5-liter engine developing 460 HP (338 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) at 3,600 rpm. The vehicle tips the scales at only 940 kg (2,072 lbs) and needs just 2.6 seconds to get from a standstill to 60 mph (96 km/h) en route to a maximum speed of 185 mph (298 km/h).
The engine is connected to a specially developed seven-speed transverse Quaife gearbox equipped with paddle shifters. It rides on 17-inch center-lock cast alloy wheels (forged are optionally available) with stopping power coming from with 330mm front / 310mm rear fully-floating disc brakes with six-pot calipers.
The 2014 RXC Turbo is 4300mm long, 1960mm wide and 1127mm tall and benefits from a double wishbone front & rear suspension with adjustable dampers. It uses a carbon tubular steel spaceframe chassis with FIA-spec front & rear crash boxes. Inside it receives a fully adjustable steering wheel, an adjustable pedal box, heated windscreen and AC system.
It can be had as a road-going car or in race-spec configuration with both of them featuring a starting price of 129,000 GBP (VAT included).
