Should be introduced sometime next year
The 2014 Volkswagen Touran has been spied completely undisguised on a ferry in Scandinavia.
Looking instantly recognizable, the redesigned model has evolutionary styling with a new front fascia, revised headlights and a new hood.
Despite the déjà vu design, the model is expected to feature the EasyFold seat system from the Sharan. This should enable the second and third rows to be easily folded flat.
Little else is known about the model but it is expected to ride on the MQB platform which could enable it to weigh up to 100 kg (220 lbs) less than its predecessor.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but will likely include the usual suspects. This means we can expect everything from a 1.2-liter TSI with 105 HP (77 kW) to a 2.0-liter TDI with 150 HP (110 kW).
