A champion driven by champions
Porsche is gearing up for their return to Le Mans with a new video series which takes a look back at their historic race cars and drivers.
The latest installment features Jacky Ickx who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans an impressive four times for Porsche (six times overall).
In 1976, 1977 and 1981 Ickx won the prestigious endurance race using a 936 which featured a turbocharged flat-six engine that produced 540 HP (397 kW). Ickx returned to Le Mans in 1982, with the 956, and claimed his fourth and final victory for Porsche.
According to Ickx, "It's difficult to sit in a Porsche car that's not a legendary car" and "the 936, it's a very special one."
