Could have 460 bhp (343 kW)
Following this morning's leak, Lexus has officially unveiled the RC F Coupe.
Set to debut at the North American International Auto Show on January 14th, the RC F is being billed as the "most powerful V8 performance car ever developed by Lexus."
The company declined to release performance specifications but the model is expected to use a 5.0-liter V8 engine that develops 460 bhp (343 kW). This could enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds before hitting a top speed of roughly 300 km/h (186 mph).
While Lexus on coy on specifics, the RC F has been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes aggressive bumpers, ventilated front fenders and revised side skirts. The car also has a bulging hood, a revised grille and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels which are available in three different designs.
If that's not impressive enough, the RC F can be ordered with carbon fiber components and an active rear spoiler that deploys at approximately 50 mph (80 km/h) and retracts at speeds less than 25 mph (40 km/h).
The cabin carries over from the standard model but has been equipped with a new instrument cluster, leather-wrapped sport seats and alloy peals. There's also revised trim and a new "elliptical cross-section thick-grip steering wheel" with paddle shifters.
